What should happen on the day of my court date?

Leave home early and get to court early - some judges are known to revoke bonds if you are late. There are long lines to get in the courthouses in Harris County and metal detectors that slow down your ability to get in quickly. Some judges start court as early as 8 or 8:30 am and others start later. It is best to get to any court you are assigned to early to avoid any issues with being late. Once you arrive make sure you are seated inside the courtroom before the judge or the clerk or coordinator calls your name on the docket.
