Will I have to be drug tested while out on bond?

In many courts it is possible that you will be drug tested at each court setting and possibly at random times while you are on bond. If you test positive on your first court date you will likely be told to stop using drugs but the judge will be informed of the positive test result. Future positive test results can result in you being placed in jail and your bail bond being revoked. The judge could then set another bond in the future but it likely will be a higher amount and cost you even more money to a bondsman. It is important to stop using drugs (other than those that are prescribed) and marihuana while on bond in order to avoid having to go back to jail.
