Can my child's arrest and juvenile record be cleared?

In many cases, but not all, your child's record can be sealed at some point after there sentence is completed. An application and court order to seal the records is required and the judge must approve and sign the order. The sealing of a juvenile record in Texas means that all law enforcement agencies must delete any computer reference and written records of the case. A juvenile who's record is sealed is allowed to state, even under oath, that they do not have a juvenile record. Sealing is a complete removal of any record of the case from arrest to sentencing and any agency must state when questioned about sealed juvenile records that no record exists.
